Football Protective Equipment
Face shields are an optional piece of football protective equipment. Some quarterbacks, running backs and receivers prefer to wear them for eye protection. The next piece of football protective equipment we have would be the mouthpiece. Every active player on the field is required to have one. Last but not least we have the chinstrap. Chinstraps are used to hold the football helmet in place during contact. Shoulder pads are the next piece of football protective equipment I would like to talk about. Shoulder pads are used to protect the shoulder, chest, and rib area. The size of the shoulder pads vary due to the position you play. Football protective equipment such as the butt pad helps protect the buttock area. The left and right hip pads protect your hips during a tackle. Next we have the thigh and knee pads which protect the thigh and the knee area. I’ve noticed as times goes by more players are choosing not to wear these particular pads. Football protective equipment such as knee and thigh pads should be worn at all times. Last but not least we have gloves. Gloves are an optional piece of football protective equipment worn on the field. Gloves are worn under cold and wet conditions. Receivers, running backs, and even some quarterbacks wear gloves while playing football. Football protective equipment is provided the for the players safety. Please respect the game and wear it at all times. |
